The occurrence of climate change is often triggered disasters in Indonesia, including NTB require a high level of vigilance against the possibility of starvation. The threat of starvation due to the disaster that must be fought as early as possible. One of them, should revitalize the village government kembalai food reserve (CPPD).

Thus disclosed Head (Head of) Food Distribution (DP) Food Security Agency (BKP), the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) RI, Arman Monek, answering reporters after a dialogue with the theme of independence filling food to combat hunger in the Hotel Lombok Raya Mataram on Thursday (14 / 10) yesterday.

Food reserves at the central government began to district / city believed to be quite safe. Still a problem is the food reserve at the village level. Under the regulations the minister of interior (Permendagri) No. 20 of 2008 on village food reserves, it is deemed necessary to revive in every village there are food reserve administration.

Added, anticipation of hunger is considered a necessity. Where, the threat of landslides, droughts, floods and various forms of unwanted disasters occur it can be anticipated in advance.

Dilingkup own food security, sought the society itself also has a food reserve. Therefore be given assistance barns and create community food distribution agencies (LDPM). Where nationally LDPM provided untu 750 villages, and the NTB itself to about 20 villages. Besides, there are national assistance barns as much as 282 barns.

Of that amount realized is still very much compared with the number of villages in the entire NTB. The hope, the villages could be a stimulus given to the regions and communities themselves to do the same. Because the duty to provide food that is not just a government obligation. Mandate in Act No. 7 of 1996 concerning food security, stated the government and society together have an obligation to achieve food security.

Arman asserted, hunger-related problems with the condition that is always a surplus of food production is believed to have no hunger. "That there was poverty, hunger if the Indonesian people had no hunger," he believes.
